200ml fresh lemon juice
500g fine sugar

For the Premix (makes 850ml, serving 10)

400ml good quality vodka

Instructions

To prepare the Citrus Syrup: Place all the components into a pan, heat until it reaches a light boil, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Then, remove from the burner allowing it to cool entirely. Pour into a clean bottle, seal and refrigerate it in the refrigerator, it will last for about one month.

For the Batch Mix: Pour all the liquids into a big jug, allow it to infuse for an hour, then strain preferably using muslin, so it's perfectly clear.

When ready to serve: Measure 85ml of the batch mix into your stirring glass containing ice, and agitate carefully for one minute until cold. Pour into a frosted cocktail glass or a similar vessel, garnish with the cranberries adding the final touch by giving it a quick spritz of the essential oil over the top.
