I'll overwhelm 'credible boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be streamed live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants met personally to promote next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As both boxers participated in the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
